Simulation Tab:
- If you click on the team name above Shots/Passing/Challenges it shortcuts you to that teams Statistics.
- Challenges: All (challenges, one-on-one stickhandling), Won (challenges won), P% (percentage)
- Double Click the Game before you sim for a Game Preview, or after for Game Results.
Statistics Tab:
- What does SB stand for? Shots Blocked
- You can hit HTML to make all the statistics into html format which you can find in the HTML folder.
- National Teams Below NHL teams.
- Double Click anyone to see there Player Profile.
Players/Staff Tab:
- Everything is sortable in the Players Menu.
- Fighting isnt on the Menu, use the Player Profile.
- Dont sign prospects that arnt playing on your NHL or AHL teams it only takes up capspace.
- Search with Filter: Under skills click on the words "Shooting, Positioning, Overall ect." to specify the filter. IT IS NOT BROKEN!
- Staff can be double clicked too.
- What are the staff Abreviations? Double click any staff.
- No scouts on the Farm Team.
- No GM on the NHL team.
- 1-2 Physio Guys.
- Signed Staff automatically goto the NHL team.
- UFA are searched by using the Filter or selecting UFA on the team selection scroll bar.

Standings Tab:
- Any NHL team can be double clicked as a shortcut to the Statistics Tab.
Lines Tab:
- Double Click Players to load there player profile.
- Co: stands for Condition
- Everyones lines are unique. You need to findout what works specificlly with your team by guess/test.
Farm Team Tab:
- Double Click Players to load there player profile.
- 23 Player max during the regular season only.
- Try to send guys down during the offseason when the league is most inactive.
- How is Waiver Elligablity decided? Its whatever was in the CBA at the time the game was made. Its based on age and amount of NHL games played.
- You cant get to injured players profile in this tab goto any other tab.
Trade Tab:
- You cant trade cash straight-up.
- Players without NTC's are showen and can be double clicked to load there player profile.
- Grayed out players are in the minors.
Options Tab:
- CPU managered fastsim can give you an idea of what your players can become. This can be used to find out potentially how far players will get in there development. This tool is somewhat broken as this can only be done with 1 team without a gm and then 0 teams. Training and lines are messed up and produce odd results but it can help you gauge the future.
Team Info Tab:
- Team Budget:50,000,000(Salary). the 50,000,000 being the team budget/Cap and the salary being the combined salary of your NHL/AHL teams as well as signed junior players.
- Resign all GM's except you and your opponents for the sim for more accurate testsim results.
News Tab:
- League News, Team News, Transactions and results from previous seasons.
- Watch for players complaining about Status and Ice Time.
Calender Tab:
- The "Go to Today" button is useful at times.
Finances Tab:
- Add a Zero to the Players salary to get.. the players salary.

Training Tab:
- Set Physio to Rest and Physio
- I base Attack, Defense, Goalie off of highest EO/ED/EG, HT, MP combination.
- I set PP and PK to highest HT, and General to Highest HT, MP combination.
- Training Resources? If you have lots of developed players they dont need as much personal training and you can focus more on Special Teams. If you have lots of younger guys its important to have high Personal Training with Special Teams not being important at all. Its good to find the right combination but remember if your using less than 40% Personal training you might as well be using 0% because it wont speed anything up.
- Configure Training Programs is BROKEN. Your Game crashes.
- Change your players training program to match what skills havent hit there ceilings. Dont be afraid to use physio to develop your players.
- Stickhandling and Checking skills can potentially go over there ceilings if players do well, get lots of ice time and are on Attack or Defense respectively. This is true but foggy, Good exampes of this are Bochenski, and Scatchard. Alex knows alot about this maybe he can touch base a little.
- Goalies still get strength on goalie so leave them on goalie.
Scouting Tab:
- If you open up a scouting report even when a scout is correct all of the skills will be inaccurate to a baring of -2/-1/0/+1/+2. This can never be trusted make sure you learn to use playerscout as it the only accurate way to determine a players potential
File Menu:
- Make a temp Save file to help you make lines vs 3rd or 4th game of the week.
Statistics Menu:
- Only place to see AHL leaguewide scoring leaders
Team Menu:
- Schedule Extra Prac's lowers players condition so use it when you have a day off the next day. Its good for getting players out of slumps when you have 5+ guys slumping. This can potentially lower the morale of players that arnt slumping so make sure your doing the right thing.
- View Transactions page gets reset January 1st of every other year I believe. So save that information in a text file for future use.
League Information Menu:
- More for Single Player.
- Apparently CTRL-M swaps GM's without going to the team info tab, it honestly swaps it instantly.
Draft Central Menu:
- Game made CBS rankings Suck! It seriously undervalues defensemen and is just plain inaccurate.
- Past drafts is a quick easy way to scout for young talent with playerscout. It also gives you an idea what kind of player will be available when you draft. Remember that each draft get weaker by about 5 good potential players each draft so if your 20th ov scout around 25th overall.
PlayerScout:
- DLL issues!!! go download it at http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msstdfmt save it at C:\Windows\System32\MSSTDFMT.DLL
-Go to Start... Run... and type:
"regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\MSSTDFMT.DLL"
and hit Enter or click OK.
- How to calculate Ceilings: There are lots of ways, but basically its all the same formula. I put a decimal infront of the 1st number of the ceiling and multiply it by the Potential. Ex: 080 = 0.8 * Pot = Skill Ceiling.
- The 1st number is the Pot #, the 2nd number is the player type.
The last digit of the potential rating tells the players natural role. If a defenseman
gets a forward role, the role will be set to defensive defenseman in EHM. If a
forwards has a defensemans natural role, he will be an all-around offensive player in
EHM.

- Consistancy is the ability the player has to play at the same level every game. A
player with a good consistancy will score or preform with more regular results
than a player with low consistancy.
- Greed is how the player decides if he will resign, become a free agent instead of
renewing his contract and how much money he will demand. A player with high greed
may opt to test the open market after a season when his contract is up. A player
with low greed is more liekly to sign at less than his asking price to remain with
your team.
- Click: "The click is a number that affects very little. The actual effect is not something that will ever be revealed, but it does do something!"
- Why does it say my player is hurt? The player is injured for lets say 2 months, and playerscout says 73 days and I get him back after 2 months? There is a period of time where the injured player can play but is more prone to injury while in that 13 day span after the player has returned. Not 100% sure if it is for sure 13.
- I find Season, and Career statstics along with career transactions easier to follow in the players profile.
- HTML extract shows you even more! Sometimes you get a runtime error.. dont know why, maybe ill look into that.
- Remember Hitting/Strength ceilings can be wrong as its based off of Height.
- Goalies do not use Ceilings but instead have there skills based straight off potential.
EHM Schedule Browser:
- Aside from showing you the upcoming schedule it can also be used to find statistics vs a specific team, division or conferance.
- Double click games to see the Game Report.
